A leading multi-disciplinary, engineering consultancy are looking for an Intermediate Civil Engineer to join their Auckland team.

Over the last few years they've pivoted away from "cookie cutter" projects to more complex/niche land development projects and they've found that this type of work has proved to be steady and ongoing. For the last 6 months their Civil Engineering Team has been seriously busy and with the recent drop in the OCR they've been approached my numerous clients to plow ahead with small scale, brownfield, land development projects and both small, and large scale, greenfield, land development projects. As such they're excited to be recruiting.
  
For over 30 years this company has been delivering civil engineering, land development, surveying, structural engineering and more recently planning projects from concept to completion nationally and throughout Oceania for public and private sector clients in the residential, infrastructure, tourism, disaster relief and educational sectors.

Operating out of their flagship Auckland office you will be carrying out and overseeing the design of technical projects which require application of advanced engineering knowledge. 
  
Responsibilities:
  
The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects designing:
  
  • Earthworks and sediment, and erosion control
  • Wastewater and storm water solutions
  • Water supply solutions, roading and shared access ways
  • Flood Management solutions
  
You will be responsible for all aspects of land development engineering from contract and project management through to construction monitoring and client relations.
  
Requirements:
  
  • To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following:   
  • NZ citizenship/working rights in New Zealand
  • 4 + years' experience 
  • Have a background in civil engineering – land development 
  • Strong Civil 3D Skill Set 
  • HEC - RES and or HEC - HMS would be advantageous but not essential
  • Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis for hydrology and hydraulics would be advantageous but not essential 
  • Experience with EPANET for water distribution would be advantageous 
  • Brilliant communication skills – both verbal and written
