As part of Kiwi’s ongoing investment strategy, the business is looking for a Senior Manager Value and Strategy with a specific focus on strategic initiatives as they relate to funds management and capital transactions. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to contribute to investment decision making, in addition to leading on feasibility analysis and decision support for the development team, property valuations and property performance. The role has frequent involvement with the Executive Team and Board of Directors in helping support strategic initiatives and investment activities, in addition to being a member of our Senior Leadership Team.

The Senior Manager Value and Strategy will find themselves with key tasks including but not limited to:
  • Collaborate with the Head of Capital Transactions and Executive Team to develop the annual strategic plan for the business, including ad hoc strategic projects
  • Contributing to the successful execution of property related capital transactions
  • Providing insights into the property market and assist with deal origination activity
  • Observation of relevant market sectors, including the interpretation of property related research and general economic research for the business
  • Leadership of the property-level financial analysis function, including development feasibility, strategic portfolio modelling, internal property valuations processes and Investor and Board reporting
  • Leading and empowering a team of five
To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate the following:
  • A NZ recognised tertiary degree in Property or Finance (e.g. Economics, Property, Valuations, Finance, Commerce/Business) is preferred but not essential
  • 10+ years prior experience within the Property sector, preferably with a background in property analytics or valuation
  • Possess a high financial aptitude, commercial acumen, and ability to analyse financial data from budgets, including the ability to form and manipulate complex models,
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the capacity to influence and negotiate specific outcomes at all business levels
  • Relationship management experience, with previous experience in leading teams
  • A high level of flexibility and the ability to take ownership and deliver in a demanding environment
