One of the leading Civil and Environmental consultancies in Auckland is excited to be recruiting for a Senior Environmental/Civil Engineer to join their Auckland office.
This consultancy has been running for 15 years in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand. With offices in London and Auckland, they specialise in Three Waters, Land Development and Asset and Carbon Management.
They have a diverse range of mostly public sector clients ranging from regional councils to Watercare with whom they’ve built very strong relationships with. Over half of their staff are Chartered Engineers and with a strong pipeline of work on the back of outstanding results they’re well positioned to double in size over the next 2 to 3 years.
You will be passionate about sustainability and innovative environmental engineering solutions. An interest in learning how to measure carbon footprints of infrastructure projects would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Infrastructure Planning and Delivery
- Stormwater and Flood Risk Management
- Water and Wastewater Treatment
- Elements of Land Development including, planning, design, resource consent and construction supervision
- Leading project work
- Quality assurance
- Leading client relationships
- Development and review of stormwater reticulation and quality improvement schemes
- Researching and developing new areas of water and flood risk management policy for local government
- Preparing business cases/justifications for three waters infrastructure
Requirements:
- A Bachelor of Engineering university degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- A full New Zealand Drivers Licence
- Experience in using AutoCAD and Civil 3D or 12D software would be preferential but not essential
- 8 years + of local New Zealand experience required
- A demonstrated ability in business development and a track record of building long term client relationships
- Knowledge of Te Mana o te Wai Principles
