Job description

About the Role:
As an Investor Relationships Manager, your primary responsibility will be to build, nurture, and expand their investor base in the South Island and lower North Island. You’ll engage with both retail and wholesale investors and work alongside professional advisors to grow investment into their commercial property funds. You will have the opportunity to develop strong, long-term relationships with investors and enhance the company’s reputation as a leading property fund manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investors in the South Island and lower North Island regions, developing new leads and securing additional investment capital for commercial property funds.
  • Ensure that all capital raise offers are completed successfully by working closely with professional advisors such as financial planners, accountants, and legal professionals.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase the investor database and investment levels from the South Island and lower North Island regions. This will involve proactively identifying opportunities to grow the region’s investment pool and working closely with internal teams to meet capital raising objectives.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both investors and professional partners, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and effective manner. Focus on replacing maturing investors with more active investors to maintain a dynamic investor base.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure capital raising initiatives are met, while maintaining a strong, cohesive ‘One Team’ approach to achieving both individual and company-wide goals.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including the REAA 2008, Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013, and AML legislation. You will also be responsible for delivering reporting on performance as required by management.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in financial products sales, business development, or wealth management, ideally within banking or the property and funds management sector.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in a related field is preferred.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong personal and professional relationships. You should be adept at negotiating and finding mutually beneficial outcomes for all parties involved.
  • A proactive, self-starter who can work autonomously and take ownership of your responsibilities, while delivering results in line with the company’s KPIs.
  • A strong understanding of the local and global economy, and how it impacts investment decisions and asset class performance over time.
  • A genuine passion for helping New Zealanders grow their wealth through smart investment opportunities, and a good understanding of the various investment products available in the market.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ready to take ownership of a growing region and be part of a reputable and expanding organisation. With a focus on people, community, and long-term success, they offer a collaborative and supportive environment where you will have the chance to grow both personally and professionally.
