We are excited to partner with an award-winning civil contractor with a strong pipeline of work in the South Island who is on the hunt for a Civil Site/ Operations Manager. You will be working on an exciting subdivision project involving earthworks and civil works on a stunning hillside in Nelson.

The Role
As the Site / Operations Manager, you will manage and lead the on-site delivery for this project, ensuring safety, quality, and timelines are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all site activities to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal resources effectively.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Solve on-site challenges.
- Hands on role – jumping in on the operating from time to time – Proficient in operating graders, excavators, or dozers.
- Proven experience managing civil construction projects, ideally subdivisions or hillside works.
- Strong knowledge of earthworks, drainage, and general civil works.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- A strong work ethic with a focus on delivering a high quality of work.
- Reliable with a positive attitude.
- Proficient in operating graders, excavators, or dozers when required.

- 2 – 5 year pipeline of work in place.
