An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Development & Transactions Analyst to join the team in Auckland, and work across the next stages of their development and investment pipeline, including the high-profile Downtown Carpark project, which has entered the resource consent phase.
  
The Role
As the Senior Development & Transactions Analyst, you will be responsible for the delivery of accurate and insightful analysis on the development portfolio and new investment opportunities to support the company’s strategy.
  
The responsibilities under this role may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Deliver accurate and insightful financial feasibility analysis for new development opportunities to facilitate clear business decision-making, with a focus on leading the Downtown Carpark feasibility workstreams,
  • Manage variance tracking and reforecasting for live developments to a high standard for internal and investor reporting,
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the Development and Transaction Analyst,
  • Oversee financial modelling and analysis for any potential transactions,
  • Provide analytical support to assess the financial and value impact of alternative strategies within existing investments or from outside the portfolio,
  • Assist in the preparation of reporting including the Business Plan, Board and Committee reports in relation to key metrics across the development portfolio,
  • Monitor financial or operational performance of individual investments to ensure portfolio targets are met,
  • Responsible for collating the required information to facilitate fund drawdowns for partnership developments and transactions,
  • Support the preparation of market disclosures, and any investor relation material
  • Lead and influence organisational knowledge across property investment trends and position the company advantageously for business development opportunities,
  • Maintain and develop relationships with valuers, research providers, and other key stakeholder to stay informed of market activity,
  • Engage in regular research and reading to stay apprised about the state of the NZ economy, general current events and research across core and adjacent property sectors to inform strategy and business decision making.
  
Role Requirements
To fulfil the duties of the role, the preferred candidate will possess the following attributes:
  • A recognised tertiary degree in Property or Finance (e.g. Economics, Property, Valuations, Finance, Commerce/Business),
  • 5+ years prior experience within corporate finance/banking/funds management/property,
  • Strong financial modelling skills, with experience developing, reviewing and owning complex financial models,
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the capacity to influence and negotiate specific outcomes at all business levels,
  • Relationship management experience, with previous experience in team management,
  • A high level of flexibility and the ability to work hard in a demanding environment.
