As a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor, you will take on a project leadership role, managing work from design and consenting through to construction observation and certification.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing new business opportunities and securing work for survey-related projects.
- Meeting with clients to establish engineering survey work on larger-scale projects, including rebuilds.
- Collaborating with offices nationwide to support business growth.
- Preparing fee proposals for prospective clients.
- Managing survey and planning input within agreed budgets and timeframes, including resource consent preparation and submissions to local authorities.
- Undertaking cadastral land transfer survey work, peer reviews, and digital lodgements for Land Information NZ approval.
- Performing required survey fieldwork and office calculations using survey software and Landonline.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Supervising, training, and mentoring graduates and junior staff.
- Other duties as required.
- Bachelor of Surveying from the University of Otago or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of New Zealand cadastral surveying experience.
- Licensed Cadastral Surveyor qualification.
- Experience in commercial land surveying.
- Strong understanding of Landonline, Civil CAD, and modern survey equipment.
- Valid NZ driver’s licence.
