Responsibilities:

As a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor, you will take on a project leadership role, managing work from design and consenting through to construction observation and certification.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing new business opportunities and securing work for survey-related projects.
  • Meeting with clients to establish engineering survey work on larger-scale projects, including rebuilds.
  • Collaborating with offices nationwide to support business growth.
  • Preparing fee proposals for prospective clients.
  • Managing survey and planning input within agreed budgets and timeframes, including resource consent preparation and submissions to local authorities.
  • Undertaking cadastral land transfer survey work, peer reviews, and digital lodgements for Land Information NZ approval.
  • Performing required survey fieldwork and office calculations using survey software and Landonline.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Supervising, training, and mentoring graduates and junior staff.
  • Other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Surveying from the University of Otago or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of New Zealand cadastral surveying experience.
  • Licensed Cadastral Surveyor qualification.
  • Experience in commercial land surveying.
  • Strong understanding of Landonline, Civil CAD, and modern survey equipment.
  • Valid NZ driver’s licence.
