Our client is a leading property funds manager focused on the delivery and management of high-quality investment offerings in the New Zealand market. We are currently recruiting for an Asset and Development Manager, providing higher level strategic skills to portfolio management and development.
The Role
The purpose of the Asset and Development Manager position is to manage and administer a portfolio of high quality property assets to ensure the optimal long-term performance through active development, asset maintenance, net rental return and capital growth are maximised, occupancy and lease terms are optimised and the properties comply with all local body, government and statutory requirements.
Here you will be working alongside the Chief Operating Officer, and be contributing across all investment aspects, acquisitions, leasing negotiation, key stakeholder management and development opportunities. You will also take immediate responsibility of a significant value add Christchurch asset, to be redeveloped maximising its strategic position in the market.

The Person
It is expected the successful candidate will possess the following:
- An NZ recognised tertiary degree in Property, Finance and/or Commerce;
- 10+ years’ experience in a strategic portfolio management position, with a demonstrable acquisition and development track record;
- High financial aptitude, commercial acumen and ability to analyse financial data from financial statements, budgets, business plans and valuations;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the capacity to produce high-quality reports, analysis and presentations under tight deadlines;
- Strong numerical reasoning and well-developed financial modelling skills with ideally an understanding and working knowledge of asset/property management;
