The Role
TPG is expanding its private sector footprint and are in need of a strategic Senior Property Consultant to lead the growth in Energy, Infrastructure, and Utilities sectors. This role blends client development with hands-on delivery—you’ll negotiate land acquisitions, resolve RMA consenting hurdles, or secure sites for infrastructure projects, all while positioning TPG as the “go-to” advisor in these sectors.

The Role

This role blends client development with hands-on delivery—you’ll negotiate land acquisitions, resolve RMA consenting hurdles, or secure sites for infrastructure projects, all while positioning TPG as the “go-to” advisor in these sectors.
What You’ll Deliver
- Market Expansion: Leverage existing networks in Energy/Infrastructure/Utilities to convert opportunities into projects, supported by TPG’s national reputation.
- End-to-End Solutions: Lead feasibility studies, PWA-compliant acquisitions, and land tenure investigations for private clients, ensuring projects meet commercial and regulatory timelines.
- Collaborative Leadership: Mentor junior consultants and collaborate with TPG’s planners, legal experts, and consultant teams to deliver integrated outcomes.
- Innovation: Utilize AI-driven tools and TPG’s proprietary systems to streamline due diligence and stakeholder reporting.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in either Property or Law or hold comparable experience in the same.
- 10+ years’ experience in property consulting, with experience in Energy, Infrastructure, or Utilities sectors would be advantageous.
- Additional experience delivering of land/property for public infrastructure, crown agencies, TLA or large capital programmes in NZ.
- Proven ability to grow client portfolios while managing technical deliverables like RMA compliance or land negotiations.
- Working knowledge of NZ’s Public Works Act, RMA, and local government processes.
