A multidisciplinary engineering consultancy renowned for their expertise across the land development, transport, infrastructure, and structural disciplines is seeking a talented and motivated Civil Engineer to join their Auckland team in Auckland.

As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for using modern software to deliver quality civil engineering expertise on a varied and challenging projects to a broad range of public and private sector clients. This role will test your technical and project management abilities but you will be well supported by some of the best mentors and seniors in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform engineering design tasks, including investigations, analysis, concept designs, project reports, calculations, and specifications under senior engineer supervision.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and control engineering tasks to achieve technical quality, budget compliance, program adherence, and client satisfaction.
  • Act as Project Manager on small projects, ensuring all deliverables meet clients' key objectives.
  • Assist the Project Manager in ensuring all deliverables meet clients' key objectives.
  • Assist in preparing project briefs, fee estimates, and project plans.
  • Liaise with clients, Project Managers, Contractors, and other Consultants regarding ongoing jobs.
  • Regularly communicate with clients and project teams, seeking feedback and applying learning and improvement principles.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role post-graduation.
  • Experience in planning, designing, organising, and overseeing the construction and operation of bulk earthworks, stormwater treatment and management systems, stormwater modelling, water reticulation, wastewater, and basic pavement engineering.
  • Proficiency in HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, EPANET, and other engineering design packages.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, quality standards, and the ability to draft, interpret, and evaluate specifications, drawings, plans, and construction procedures.
  • Some contract management experience, such as serving as an Engineers Representative, is advantageous.
